Sliding Bolt Fitting

If your on this page you need help fitting some sliding bolts on your door for added security!

There are lots of different types of sliding bolts so which one is right for your type of door? Also be mindful when fitting extra secrity to your door that you dont screw through or too close to a locking point or the locking mechanism as a incorectly placed screw could seriously damage a lock and render your door unsecure.
Traditionally sliding bolts are fitted to wooden doors however sliding cabin bolts look good on composite doors although they are rarely used as composite doors have 3/5 latching bolt points are fairly secure.
On uPvc doors I would recommend sash jammers as the door doesnt normally sit flush with the frame.
There's lots of choice with wooden doors from traditional sliding/padlock bolts and internally fitted bolts and pins.
If your not sure what bolt is best for your door or you have chosen  and wanting someone to fit them the get in touch with Liver Bird Locks.
